- NUI Galway Careers information Evening for Arts and Engineering will take place on Wed 9th of May 2012 from 6pm to 8pm. This will take place in the new Engineering building on campus.
On the night in two separate sessions, a number of arts and engineering graduates will give an overview of their careers since graduating. They will also talk about the skills and knowledge they have gained in their degree programmes and how it has benefited their careers. This may be as much interest to parents as it is to students.
- It is time to register your exemption from Irish if you are considering applying to an NUI college. Do not leave it any later
- The VEC will be furnishing the Guidance Counsellors with all updated information with regard to Grant applications in the coming weeks. We will contact parents regarding this as soon as we have been informed of changes
- The change of mind in CAO forms formally opens on the 3rd of May. Any student who has any query regarding his/her choices is welcome to make an appointment with the Guidance Counsellor
- Finally check CAO website to see full listing of new courses and courses that have been cancelled.
- One new course in particular “Audiology” in Athlone is the first of its kind in the country. It is being developed at the moment also in another prominent University and there are strong indications that there may be good prospects in this area going forward.
- Any parental queries, call 091 844159 for career guidance
